B. PHARM
As per the present curriculums in India, a B. PHARM degree mainly prepares the candidates to work in the pharmaceutical industry. The course structure of the degree includes practical training in the pharmaceutical industry environment. Practical experience goes a long way in getting the candidates ready to enter the actual work environment and develop a successful career for themselves in the field. A pharmacist having a B. PHARM degree ia also to practice pharmacy in a community or hospital pharmacy.
Intake : 60 students
Duration : 4 years
Commencement of session : August
Eligibility : P.U. II Year Science Examination of P.U. Board, Karnataka, or its equivalent (10+2) with 40% marks or more in PCB/PCM/ PCMB group or with D. PHARM from recognized Board.
Lateral entry : Candidates who have passed the D. PHARM course (approved by the PCI) with not less than 50% aggregate shall also be eligible to this course and shall be admitted directly to the II B. PHARM course.
Examination : There shall be three sessional examinations conducted for both theory and practicals by the college for 30 Marks. The average marks of best two examinations for theory and practicals shall be computed separately. University shall conduct Final Examination for theory and practical for 70 Marks.
